Thuis in huis

Thuis in Huis is a concept design for an application about the popular flemish tv-soap Thuis. The main goal of the user is to win cool Thuis-gadgets. The concept boils down to a quiz consisting out of two parts.

The first part takes place during the week. Everyday the user gets before an episode is aired a silly question genre ‘What color are the bags that Olivia is carying in this scene?’. By answering this question the user can gain seconds. These seconds will be needed in the weekend to fill out a list of questions.

In the weekend the user can fill out a longer list. Questions are being pushed to the user as long as he has seconds left. Seconds that he/she has earned during the week. By answering these questions correctly the user can gain points which he can use to shop in the Thuis-gadget shop.

The main goal is rewarding faithfull viewers with cool Thuis-gadgets. The app is also meant to hightlight the official webshop of VRT.

The productsheet can be found here (dutch).

Van vermist tot case closed

"Van vermist tot case closed” - from missing ‘till case closed - is an online interactive docu story for Canvas, the second TV channel of Flemish public broadcaster VRT. The docu story is a pageflow - bringing images, sound and video together - about dissapearences in Belgium, and how the police handles them.

The goal was to tell the story of three more or less typical dissapearences to indicate that when a person goes missing it’s almost never an abduction. To dissapear is not a crime. We chose three people from different generations (a child, an adult and an elderly person) to indicate the differences between them all.

This project was in collaboration with different journalists.

Amnesty International

This Amnesty International design concept is one for an app that the volunteers use when going out on the streets to collect donations for the charity.

Vocab.datex.org

Vocab.datex.org is a website on wich I worked with 2 other developpers for 'open Summer of code'. The website is a quick guideline to understanding the concept of linked data and the use of the vocab.datex.org vocabulary.

It explains the benefit of linked data by handling a real life example and for developpers there is a short section that shows how there is not that much difference between publishing regular data and linked data.
